News Update: 06th April 2008

Hi all, I finally took a look at my site for the first time in months today. I cant believe how fast the year is flying by. Games Day 08 will be here before we know it. I have got a few things to show you for once! There are 3 new minis in the galleries, two Space Marine chaplains and a High Elf Mage which was painted up for a competition (he is also for sale under my for sale section on the site). I am pleased to announce that it came second. It was the 'eavy metal teams first painting competition on facebook. They are thinking of running them quarterly so I am looking forward to the next one. If you have been looking for a mage I am sure he will make a perfect addition to you High Elf army. It took me around 30hrs in all to paint in all. My project queue is clear and now closed - permanently! I am sadly no longer painting commissions. I haven't done many but after a couple of time wasters recently I think its just too much hastle. But, with all the extra time I will have now you should find my gallery and tutorial pages are going to get full real quick! I have got a load of great ideas for conversions etc and I have got a pile of minis waiting to be painted up that I have been dying to get started on, so watch this space. Now this will be the piece of news I know a large number of you will have been waiting and waiting and waiting for lol. I know I promised this months ago, but you know how it is with a young family my time is never my own Well, its finally here, the Imperial Fist Armour painting tutorial is up and running in my tutorials section. Granted there are no pictures yet but they should be up and running sometime before the end of the month. I thought it was unfair to let everyone who has asked (and there has been lots lol) to wait any longer. So take a look, its a simple colour combination but effective so you shouldn't have any problems. From the shear amount of emails and questions I have got over the last year about painting the yellow armour I am expecting the pages of CMON to be flooded with Imperial Fist Troopers. That isn't a bad thing, it will even up the amount of Ultramarines there are on there lol!!!!!!!! Just remember to give me a shout when you load your photos on there ;-) I have got a couple of competitions coming up and I want to start my GD entries pretty soon. I am going to try and keep my promise to myself not to leave it to 2 weeks before like last year. Well that is it for now! Wil
